Southampton Solent University - England

The Southampton Solent University started its journey in 1856 as a private School of Arts, in July 2005 became a university and on August 15 was officially named Southampton Solent University. Though it is one of UK's newest universities it has the capacity of 16,000 students till date. The university is located in the Southern Coast of England and is very well connected.


COURSES OFFERED:
The university offers courses from Foundation level to Master degrees and PhDs along with numerous Professional & Short courses. The University supports several Research Programmes and had awarded more than 100 research degrees since 1992.
The courses cover a wide range of subject matters

Accommodation:
The University has six different Students Residences consisting 2,300 study-bedrooms. The rooms are allocated according to the course and the level of study.

The Southampton University has two Scholarships till date.
  • The Lisa Wilson Scholarship
  • The Sport Scholarship
Study Resources:
The Mountbatten Library is stuffed with information in the form of Books, Articles, Journals, Magazines, Newspapers, CDs, DVDs and Online Informations. The Library Catalogue helps the students to get the exact information they are looking for.
The Southampton Solent University Alumni Association was established in 1996 and today there 28,000 members all over the world.
