Durham University- England

The Durham University is a collegiate University mainly emphasizes on research based studies. There are several different colleges under this University. It provides residential facilities and different other social and welfare facilities to the students. There are three main departments – Arts & Humanities, Science, Social Science and Health. The Durham University is located in two separate places. One in Durham City and the other in Queen's Campus, Stockton. The campus in Durham was established in the year 1832, and the Queen's Campus opened in 1963.

      Departments
      Anthropology, Applied Social Science, Archeology, Bio Science, Business, Chemistry, History, Computer Science, East Asian Studies, Engineering, Literature, Law, Mathematics, Philosophy, Physics, Psychology, Theology and religion are the main departments that the Institute deals with.
      There are other departments like Bookshop, Chaplains, Theatre, Students union, Printing, Health Centre and all. There are few other Leisure facilities such as Botanical Garden, Graham Sport Centre, Old Fulling Mill Museum of Archeology and the Oriental museum.

      The University promotes few Fund Raising Programmes. The Durham University's Charity Kommittee (DUCK) raises money for local, national as well as international charities. The students volunteer around the locality for drama, music and cookery clubs.

      The students also have the facility of different grants which help them while they are in a research programme. The University was awarded a huge grant in the year 2005/6 for their excellence in research oriented works.
