Ruskin College - England

Ruskin College situated in Oxford, unlike other educational organization aims at bringing a revolution in the life of adults who due to some reason could not complete their education. It provides them with a golden chance to initiate change in their life through the help of education.

The courses available for higher studies in this college are include English, History, Labour relation and law, studying society, women studies.

The Diploma Courses are:

  • Diploma in higher education in English studies,
  • Diploma in higher education in International labour and Trade Union,
  • Diploma in higher education in social change.

Bachelor of Arts degree includes subject areas like Social work, Social change, English Studies. And Master of Arts could be done in Public History, Women Studies and International labour and Trade Union Studies. It has also introduced Short Courses like Community Short courses in which short residential courses are offered to candidates interested in completing their education, and Ruskin Learning Projects which offers short part-time courses for locals.

The college also grants scholarships to the adult students to support their effort. Chevening Scholarship programme and Webb scholarships for Trade unionists from Eastern Europe are some of the main schemes adopted by the organization. The College also grants some General Scholarships and Trade Union Scholarships.
