School of Oriental and African Study is a Higher educational College under the University of London specializing in the study of Asia, Africa, near and Middle East. The School was inaugurated in 1916 and has two campuses one at Russell Square, Bloomsbury and the other one is in Vernon Square. The School has more then 200 academics dealing with different aspect of Asia, Africa and Middle East (Language, Culture, society, Background). Of the fifteen departments, ten have scored 5 or 5*. The school offers a range of Scholarships like SOAS Open Scholarship, SOAS Bursary, SOAS research student fellowship, Abu-Hakima Bursary, Jain Studies MA Scholarship, William Ross Scholarship, Commonwealth Shared Scholarship, and Bernard Buckman Scholarship.
SOAS also provides a number of facilities like it has glorious library with an enormous collection of books in 4000 languages.
Accommodation:
The School has student's residencies Known as Dinwiddie House and Paul Robeson house, with the capacity to accommodate 750 students.
