King's College - England

King's College London is a college under the University of London established in the early days of the 19th century. The most famous feature of King's is that it is the oldest and the largest of all colleges in England. It is considered as one of the world's most renowned multi-faculty education centre. The five campuses in King's are Strand Campus, Waterloo Campus, Guy's campus, St Thomas's campus and Denmark Hill campus.


COURSES OFFERED:
There are 9 Schools of Study under which there are 200 undergraduate programs and 230 postgraduate taught programs. The nine schools of study are:

  • Dental Institute
  • Institute of Psychiatry
  • School of Bio-medical and Health Sciences
  • School of Humanities
  • School of Law
  • School of Medicine
  • Florence Nightingale School of Nursing and Midwifery
  • School of Physical Sciences and Engineering
  • School of Social Science and Public Policy.
Some of the Academic Departments are: American studies, Anatomy and Human Sciences, Biochemistry, Cardiology, Classics, Dental Institute, Education, European Studies, Film Studies, Genetics and Molecular Medicine, Hematology, Institute of Gerontology, Linguistics, Medieval Studies, Neurology, Nutrition and Diabetics, Pediatrics, Pharmacy, Rheumatology, War Studies etc

The graduate program is divided into two parts taught programs and research programs.
Some of the taught programs are: Anatomy, Age-related studies, Biblical Studies, Clinical Technology, Computer Science, Film, Healthcare, Languages, Literature, Social Studies, Security, etc

The research programs in this college can be done both part-time and full time.

FACILTIES:
The students of the college are provided with a number of residential halls in the five campuses. Apart form these students can also avail accommodation in the intercollegiate residential halls on the University of London. The library, computing and archive services of the university are run by the ‘'Information service and System Network'' the library has over 15000 printed materials and help of qualified stuffs are provided by the college.
