The University of Hull was founded in 1927 with the encouraging support of some local benefactors where courses in only arts and pure sciences were offered.Presently the University has two campuses,one in Hull itself and the other in Scarborough.Hull is situated in east Yorkshire.The teaching skills in the university are highly rated in national quality assessments.Over 900 courses are taught in the university at undergraduate and post graduate levels including faculties of arts,humanities,health,sciences,and social sciences.The university also carries out research projects which are of great importance in the international arena.The library system of the university is committed to providing first class quality service to all the students of the university.The students and staff have the facilities of accessing the traditional as well as the digital resources for their studies or research works (www.hull.ac.uk/lib ).The accommodation that the university provides is of three types- lawn houses,traditional halls and shared houses.Most of the first year students live in the lawn houses and the traditional halls.In the later part of the university education,students prefer to live in shared houses (www.hull.ac.uk/accom/ ).A wide range of scholarships are granted to graduate and post graduate students of the university in the fields of science specially.
