The status of a university was awarded to Anglia Ruskin in 1992. Currently, over 28,000 students are studying at the different campuses of the university. The students are both local and international. Anglia Ruskin University is involved in social and cultural activities, providing student facilities, as well as the maintenance of high academic standards.
Anglia Ruskin University has two campuses, one in Cambridge and the other in Chelmsford. The University offers courses from undergraduate and professional qualifications to postgraduate and research degrees.
- The Anglia Ruskin University has its major libraries at Cambridge and Chelmsford campuses. The library has over 350,000 books and 2,700 journal subscriptions and a growing collection of audio and video recordings. The fast growing "Electronic Library" also offers online information resources.
- The Anglia Ruskin University provides 1600 rooms including both campuses, most of them having broadband internet connection. The university offers a range of well-equipped, self-catering halls of residence and houses.
- The Anglia Ruskin University has a number of scholarship schemes available for both local and international students. International Merit Scholarship Scheme, Discounted Tuition Fee and Transfer Scholarship Scheme are a few of them.
