Northern Island College - Canada

North Island College opened its doors in 1975. It is the first choice for the residents of North Vancouver and the Central Coast. The college has 4 campuses:

  • Comox Valley Campus
  • Campbell river Campus
  • Port Alberni Campus
  • Port Hardy Campus
There are 2 vocational centers as well. The college offers over 70 credit programs and 730 individual courses. The degree, diploma and certificate programs provided are:
  • Academic Programs

  • Agriculture and aquaculture
  • Applied Business Technology
  • Business Administration
  • Co-operative Education
  • Fine Arts and Photography
  • Health and Human Services

The college has a library for the students to carry on their research projects. The college provides 2 types of accommodation to the students like the homestay or the apartment living. Scholarships are given to encourage the students. There are 4 kinds of scholarships and bursaries:
  • NIC Foundation Scholarships for new students entering NIC
  • NIC Foundation Bursaries for new students entering NIC
  • NIC Foundation Scholarships for Continuing or Graduating Students
  • NIC Foundation Bursaries for Continuing or Graduating Students
