Laurentian University -Canada

Established in 1960 the Laurentian University in Ontario proudly presents more than 33,000 people graduating from this bilingual and tri-cultural university. This university has an active living fitness centre, art gallery, native student services, placement centre which help the students immensely. The university is currently celebrating its 45th anniversary. Some of the affiliated colleges are Algoma University College and the University College of Hearst.


The fee structure varies for the local and the international students like $10,087 for undergraduate international students and $ 5,500 for the international graduate students.

There are facilities for the on campus and off campus housing provisions. The on campus housing is meant for 1,200 students and the annual cost for single beds is $ 3,600 and for the traditional residences the cost is $ 2,950. The off campus Bachelor establishment can cost $400 per month.

There are quite a few scholarships, awards and bursaries for the students depending on their academic performances, and other financial needs. Some of the important scholarships are:

  • National Scholarship for Excellence--$20,000 each
  • Entrance Scholarships--$ 3,500-95-100% to students and $ 2,500-85-89.9%
  • Leadership Awards--$ 1,000
  • Jacqueline Labelle Award
  • Sid Forester Memorial Award etc
