Fielding Graduate University Online Degrees
Fielding Graduate University projects that students will take 4-6 years to earn their degrees. Most students complete their courses in 4 ½ years. Successful completion of any online program requires students to be self-motivated and spend substantial time devoted to studying and writing.
FGU suggests that students allocate 20 hours a week to their studies. Although 20 hours a week might sound like a lot to adults who already have a full schedule, when you consider how much time you would spend at a traditional university, 20 hours is very little. Traditional institutions generally base credits on hours in class, so earning 15 credits a semester means you’ll be in the classroom for 15 hours each week. Add the time you’ll spend on homework and driving to and from campus and 20 hours starts to sound very manageable.
Keep in mind that you can access your online courses any time of the day- early before work, at lunch, or in the evening- so studying a few hours here and there should not be a problem at all.
