What sets Ashford University apart? Ashford University has a very generous credit transfer policy. Unlike many colleges that limit transfer hours to 60 credit hours, Ashford allows you to transfer up to 99 hours into the program. Ashford University’s online programs will allow you to:
* Save money by transferring credit from regionally or nationally accredited colleges
* Earn up to 75 hours of non-traditional credit (CLEP, Life Experience, Military Credit)
* Earn your degree faster!
Ashford also offers online accelerated 5 week and 6 week terms. At Columbia College (where I attend), classes are only 8 weeks long…. and I really enjoy that format. Since Ashford’s terms are even shorter, you will definitely be able to earn your degree at an accelerated pace. For example, if you have significant military or work experience, you can earn portfolio credit (life experience credit). You can also take a few CLEP or DSST exams and earn even more credit hours. Once you have maxed our your non-traditional credit options (75 hours), then you earn your final credits by taking classes. This approach is only useful for people who simply want to earn their degree and don’t care about the college experience or acquiring knowledge in a new field. Interested?
