Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) in Health Care Systems Management
Today's health care systems are in need of strong leaders with management skills. You can prepare for a successful move into a health care management position through Loyola University's MS in Nursing with a specialization in Health Care Systems Management (HCSM).

The HCSM program focuses on knowledge and skills needed to succeed in a variety of nursing leadership positions in health care organizations. An RN-MSN BLEND Program is also available online for RNs who have a non-nursing bachelor's degree.

Our curriculum explores nursing administration, management, leadership, finance, quality improvement, health promotion, disease prevention/management, integrated delivery systems, managed care strategies, and workforce management.

This program adheres to the standards identified by the American Association of Colleges of Nursing, the American Organization of Nurse Executives, and the Standards of Practice for Case Managers (published by the Case Management Society of America).

Graduates will be prepared to sit for the American Nurses Association Certification Exam in Nursing Administration Advanced and/or the Commission for Case Manager Certification Exam.

MSN B.L.E.N.D. Program (for the RN with a Non-Nursing Bachelor's Degree)
If you are an RN who is in possession of a non-Nursing Bachelor's degree, you may still be admitted to Loyola's MSN program without obtaining a BSN degree.

To be admitted to the MSN program, you must complete Loyola's MSN B.L.E.N.D. (Bridge to Leadership Education for Nurses at a Distance) program, which is now offered fully online.

This 6-credit bridge program covers important themes including Leadership, Health Promotion, Community, and Professional Development.
